Cardiology Second Opinion & Records Review

Have you had heart tests, scans or treatment and you're wondering if anything was missed? A second look can bring clarity and peace of mind.

Dr. Tisa Saha, a board-certified cardiologist, will carefully go through your prior records, including tests, imaging, labs and medications. She will tell you whether your care looks complete and up to date, and what questions may be worth raising next.

This service is available to New York City residents and to international patients visiting New York.

WHO IT'S FOR

- You have a heart diagnosis and want a second opinion before making a decision

- You've had several tests and aren't sure what they mean together

- You're taking heart medications and want to know if your plan is still current

- You've been told "everything is fine" but still have questions

- You're visiting New York from abroad and want a thorough review while you're here

- You have a family history of heart disease and want to check that nothing has been overlooked

WHAT TO BRING OR SEND

Gather whatever you have. Every bit helps, and it's fine if some pieces are missing.

- Test results: EKGs, stress tests, Holter or event monitor reports

- Imaging: echocardiograms, calcium scores, CT or MRI reports, and images if available

- Lab work: cholesterol panels, Lp(a), A1c, kidney function and other recent bloodwork

- Medication list: current and past medications, with doses

- Procedure and hospital notes: catheterizations, stents, surgeries, discharge summaries

- Doctor's notes: recent visit summaries from your cardiologist or primary care doctor

Records in languages other than English are welcome. A translated summary is helpful if you have one.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly.

Will Dr. Saha replace my current cardiologist?

Not unless you'd like her to. Many patients use a second opinion to bring better questions back to their own doctor.

What if I don't have all my records?

That's okay. Bring what you have. Dr. Saha can let you know if anything else would be useful to request.

I live outside the US. Can I do this by telehealth?

International patients cannot use telehealth. Please book an in-office visit while you're in New York.

Can I do a telehealth review if I live in the US?

Telehealth is currently available to patients located in New York at the time of the visit. If you're outside New York, please book an in-office visit.

How should I send records before my visit?

Once your appointment is booked, you'll get an invite to the secure Precardion patient portal, where you can upload your records ahead of your visit.

Is a second opinion covered by insurance?

Precardion visits are self-pay at the prices listed above. You may ask your insurer about out-of-network reimbursement.

What will I get from the review?

A clear explanation of what your records show, whether your care looks complete and current, and suggested next steps or questions for your care team. A review does not guarantee any particular result.
